Companies will start hiring virtual AI workers in 2026

Virtual employees created by artificial intelligence (AI) will get full-time jobs at major corporations as early as 2026, said Jason Clinton, a top executive at technology company Anthropic. According to him, they will have separate positions, corporate accounts and passwords.

Jason Clinton believes that the arrival of virtual workers in the workplace will be the next step in the development of AI. However, he warned that it will create additional security risks for companies. “There are so many problems in this world that we haven’t solved from a security standpoint that we need to solve,” Mr. Clinton told Axios .

As Anthropic’s top manager explained, AI-powered employees could get out of control and hack into the company’s internal systems. In addition, there would be problems with corporate governance. Jason Clinton specified that the company already has difficulty tracking how much information is available to different accounts. According to him, in some cases, this leads to corporate data leaks.
